The Kraffters (Lindsays) of Augsburg, Austria

It is believed that James Lindsay (b. ca 1430 Scotland, d. ? Augsburg, Austria), the sixth son of David Lindsay (? - 1446), 3rd Earl of Crawford and Marjory Ogilvy, went to Augsburg, Austria in 1449 and founded a prominent family referred to in Augsburg as Kraffter (Crawford).
