Lindsay, Oklahoma

Lindsay, Oklahoma is located 46 miles from Oklahoma City at the intersection of State Highway 19 and State Highway 76.  The nearest interstate highway is I-35, approximately 22 miles to the east.

Data from the 1990 population census place the Lindsay population at 2,947. 11.08% of the population of Garvin County resides in the city of Lindsay. 

Although the historic Murray-Lindsay Mansion is located in the city of Lindsay, I have not been able to discover its significance.  There is no information yet available with regard to the Lindsay founder of the city or its relationship to the Lindsay surname.  Anyone with additional information on the Lindsay founder can communicate with me at   ronlindsay@comcast.net
