Fotheringham

The history of this surname and how it became affiliated with the Lindsay surname is being researched and will be posted after this work has been completed.

In the meantime, I refer all Fothringhams/Fotheringhams researching the origin of their surname to consult the book "'The Genealogy of the Fothringhams of Pourie-Fothringham" by Henry Steuart Fothringham, 6th edition privately printed February 2004.
