Dunecht House

The Dunecht House, dating from 1820 and located in the County of Aberdeenshire, approximately ten miles west of Aberdeen (the city), was the family estate of the Earl of Crawford.

This historic Lindsay place is still being researched and additional content will be added soon.

Notation:  Lindsay International acknowledges Dale Ingram  dale@ingram4414.fsnet.co.uk , writer and amateur historian in south London, England for bringing this Lindsay place initially to our attention.

The photo below of Dunecht House was provided to Lindsay International by Dr. Deborah ONeil drdaoneil@btopenworld.com .   Dr. ONeil purchased the post card image of Dunecht House in 2004 from an antiques dealer in Edinburgh, Scotland.  The date of the photo could not be determined.  The signature of "A. Cowdray" across the front of the image is that of Viscount Cowdray who became a subsequent owner of the Dunecht estate after the time of the Lindsays.  Our thanks to Dr. ONeil for sharing this treasure with the worldwide Lindsay/Lindsey community.
